Biography

 

Violinist Anna Ziman is currently studying  on the Masters in Performance course at the Royal College of Music, London, with Radu Blidar and she is generously supported by an Ella Carstairs Award and an Abel Halpern & Helen Chung-Halpern Award .  In the summer  2016 she graduated with a first class Bachelor in Music with Honours degree from the Royal College of Music where she studied with Natasha Boyarsky, supported by the Henry Wood Award and the George Thornton Award.

From 2008 to 2016 Anna attended annual summer music seminars hosted by Civica Scuola di Musica “Benjamino Gigli” in Italy where she studied with professor Natasha Boyarsky. She has participated in masterclasses given by Alina Ibragimova at the RCM, and in the summer of 2017 attended Festival Quattro Corde in Italy where she studied with professor Radu Blidar.

Anna has given several solo performances in venues including: Rachmaninov Hall of Moscow State Conservatoire, Concert Hall of Slobodkin Center in Moscow and Regent Hall in London.  She has also performed as part of RCM Chamber Concerts series in venues across London as well as being selected to perform in a showcase concert at the Festival Quattro Corde in Italy.

Anna is a dedicated orchestral musician, and recently played as part of RCM Symphony Orchestra performing Mozart Requiem with King’s College Choir under conductor Michael Rosewell . Other conductors she has worked with include  Bernard Haitink and Sir Roger Norrington. Anna also performs as part of Suffolk Philharmonic Orchestra.

Her future plans include a recital and a masterclass in  M.Glinka Music School in Troitsk, Moscow in June 2018 as well as a cross-art collaborative performance at the Dulwich Picture Gallery, London in May 2018.
